Trajan's Market- Trajan's market was built by Apollodorus in 112-113 B.C. Apollodorus built the building out of concrete and brick. Before the market was formed, they tore down old builldings and made space that connected the Quirinal Hill to the Capitoline. Once it was all built the entire market had more that 140 rooms. The very bottom level had 11 shops that were bigger than normal. On the second level there were 10 rooms that were either shops, housing, or offices. The top level resembled an outdoor patio with marble columns. The Trajan Market was a shopping center that was more than commercial shops, it had many different purposes. ApAppjh
Colosseum- In 72 A.D. Emporer Vespasian planned to make the colosseum. Vespasian commanded the slaves and prisoners to help fulfil the plans of buildding the colosseum. The Colosseum was the largest ampitheater in the Roman world measuring 620 by 513 feet. The seating in the colosseum could seat more than 50,00 people aranged by social rankings. The purpose of this building was to entertain the general public and keep them occupied. They entertained the public by animal fights, gladiatorial combats, and they would fill the bottom of the arena with water to have battles in the water. After numerous of centries of the Colosseum providing entertainment natural disasters, neglect, and vandalism had destroyed the Roman building.
